Results: Yadegar Imam Cup

Iranian and Hungarian wrestlers won 6 gold medals at Greco-roman wrestling tournament “Yadegar Imam” Cup in Iran, Tehran city as 2013 world champion from North Korea failed to win gold at 59kg.
Hungary sent a strong team to Iran and they captured three gold and two bronze medals, winning 34000$ of tournament prizes.
But the surprise came from 59kg final bout where 2013 world champion Yun Won Chol from North Korea dropped his final match to Iranian Mohsen Hajipour.
Olympic silver medalist and 2013 European champion Tamas Loerincz from Hungary dominated at new weight 71kg and 75kg gold medal went to 2011 world champion Saeid Abdevali from Iran. Abdevali won his world title at 66kg but he moved up to 75kg in Yadegar Imam Tournament.
New comer Mojtaba Karimfar captured 85kg title as 2013 world bronze medalist Victor Loerincz took bronze medal. Karimfar pinned 2011 Asian champion Davoud Akhbari in semifinal.
Balazs Kiss was another Hungarian wrestler who won 5000$ prize. 2013 world bronze medalist beat Iranian Ali Alyari in 98kg final match.
Johan Euren from Sweden was another European who won gold medal from Middle East wrestling tournament. Swedish Olympics and world bronze medal winner defeated Iranian Behanm Mehdizadeh narrowly in 130kg final match.
Wrestlers from 10 countries competed in the Iranian Greco-roman tournament and 96000$ was shared between medal winners, 5000$ for gold medal 3000$ for silver and 2000$ for bronze.
