Tonya VERBEEK is Canada's most decorated wrestler ever.
In 2004, Verbeek became the country's first-ever medalist in women's wrestling when she won a silver medal at 55kg at the Athens Olympics. She would go on to win a bronze at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a silver at the 2012 London Olympics. In addition, Verbeek won three world medals (two bronze and a silver).
She currently serves as the head coach for Canada's national team.
Verbeek joined Eric Olanowski to talk about her path to becoming Canada’s head coach, how COVID has impacted her role as a coach and her favorite memory from her three Olympic appearances.
