WATCH: 10 women's wrestling final from Asian Championships

ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia (April 29) -- Japan came out all guns blazing at the Asian Championships after missing the previous edition due to travel restrictions. The women's team won the team title comfortably.

Its medal haul included seven gold medals, two silver and one fourth-place finish. Host nation Mongolia finished second in the race while Kazakhstan went home with the third spot.

Here are the 10 finals from the women's wrestling at the Asian Championships.

GOLD - 50kg: Remina YOSHIMOTO (JPN) vs Namuuntsetseg TSOGTOCHIR (MGL)

 

GOLD - 53kg: Akari FUJINAMI (JPN) vs. Khulan BATKHUYAG (MGL)

 

Round 5 - 55kg: Umi IMAI (JPN) vs. Sarbinaz JIENBAEVA (UZB)

 

GOLD - 57kg: Anshu MALIK (IND) vs Tsugumi SAKURAI (JPN)

 

Round 5 - 57kg: Diana KAYUMOVA (KAZ) vs. Sara NATAMI (JPN)

 

GOLD - 62kg:  Aisuluu TYNYBEKOVA (KGZ) vs. Nonoka OZAKI (JPN)

 

Round 5 - 65kg: Dariga ABEN (KAZ) vs. Miwa MORIKAWA (JPN)

U15, U17, U20 & Veteran Grappling World Championships 2025 Guide

LOUTRAKI, Greece (October 30) -- The Grappling World Championships in U15, U17, U20 and Veteran will begins in Loutraki, Greece from November 1 to 4.

The tournament will begins on November 1 with U15 and U20 competition in Grappling No-Gi with the medal bouts also scheduled on the same day.

Grappling

On November 2, the competition will be held in U15 and U20 age-group in Grappling Gi with finals scheduled on the same day.

The U17 and Veterans competition will begin on November 3 with Grappling No-Gi with all matches, including medal matches, to be conducted on the day.

The final day -- November 4 -- will see all bouts in U17 and Veterans in Grappling Gi.
