Corsier-sur-Vevey, SWITZERLAND (December 6) -- Malam Barka has contributed a lot to the sport of wrestling. The Nigerien leader has lead initiative to bring more notoriety to the sport of wrestling on the African continent and in 2013 was the Technical Delegate for the Francophone Games in Nice, France.

The Francophone Games recently feature Mr. Barka on their website and asked him about a variety of his contributions to wrestling in Niger, African and around the world.

The best times during the Games is when I see thousands of young Francophones communicate with each other through sports and culture, this large mixing between young people from different cultures.  I think that the wrestlers discover traditional values ​​of others and help his comrades. You can see them on the arena smiling and full of joy. I learned something new at each games.

How do you see the 2017 Games in Côte d'Ivoire and the 2021 Games?
