#TBT: Mensah-Stock Stops Oborududu in 68kg Olympic Finals

Tamyra MENSAH-STOCK ?? cruised to a three-point win over Blessing OBORUDUDU ?? in the 68kg finals and became the first black woman to win Olympic gold. After her win in Tokyo, Mensah-Stock owns the 3-0 match-advantage over Oborududu heading into the ’21 World Championships ?? (October 2-10).

But, similar to the Tokyo Olympics, Mensah-Stock and Oborududu are seeded first and second, respectively, and if the seeds hold true, the pair of rivals could meet on October 7 with world gold on the line.

Statement on Investigation of Former FILA President Raphael Martinetti

CORSIER-SUR-VEVEY, Switzerland (October 7) -- As reported today in the LeMatin.ch, former FILA President Raphael Martinetti and his wife have been ordered by the Swiss government to pay tax on large sums of money given to the couple in 2010 and 2012 by unnamed persons in Azerbaijan. Prior to today's story, United World Wrestling was not aware of these payments and has contacted the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation to gather more information. We are reviewing the situation to determine what occurred and if any further action is required.
