#TBT: Mensah-Stock Stops Oborududu in 68kg Olympic Finals

Tamyra MENSAH-STOCK ?? cruised to a three-point win over Blessing OBORUDUDU ?? in the 68kg finals and became the first black woman to win Olympic gold. After her win in Tokyo, Mensah-Stock owns the 3-0 match-advantage over Oborududu heading into the ’21 World Championships ?? (October 2-10).

But, similar to the Tokyo Olympics, Mensah-Stock and Oborududu are seeded first and second, respectively, and if the seeds hold true, the pair of rivals could meet on October 7 with world gold on the line.

Vinesh PHOGAT is one of India's most accomplished wrestlers ever. She became the first Indian woman wrestler to claim gold medals in both Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. In 2019, Vinish earned a bronze medal at the World Championships at 53kg and became the first Indian wrestler to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 by virtue of her top-six finish.

Vinesh joined Eric Olanowski to talk about winning India's most prestigious sports award, the Khel Ratna Award, and how moving up to 53kg has impacted her career. She also talked about what she learned from wrestling at the Rio Olympic Games and how she's preparing for the Tokyo Olympics.
