Otoguro became Japan's youngest-ever freestyle world champion (19 years 10 months) with victory at 2018 World Championships. In final, defeated Bajrang PUNIA (IND) in 16-9 thriller named UWW's freestyle match of the year...Finished 5th at 2019 World Championships to secure Olympic spot for Japan, then clinched for himself with victory at All-Japan Champion...Product of JOC Elite Academy and Yamanashi Gakuin University.
