Dosho is a Rio 2016 Olympic and Paris 2017 world champion at 69kg...Won Tokyo Olympic berth at 68kg for Japan with 5th place at 2019 World Championships, then filled it herself by beating Miwa MORIKAWA in playoff in March 2020. That avenged semifinal loss to her at 2019 All-Japan Championships, ending run of 8 straight national titles....Needed late win over Masako FURUICHI at All-Japan Invitiational to make team to Nur-Sultan...In March 2018, suffered serious shoulder injury at Women's World Cup, keeping her from defending world title that year. Underwent surgery and returned to mat in December to win All-Japan title...4-time Asian champion...Won Olympic title after placing 3rd, 2nd and 3rd at previous World Championships...Started wrestling at Ichiji Junior club that produced Saori YOSHIDA and was run by her late father...Product of powerhouse Shigakkan University.
