Despite not having many significant results at the senior level, Jowita WRZESIEN (POL) reached the semifinal of the 2019 World Championships and earned a Tokyo Olympics quota place for her country at 57kg. She faced RONG Ningning of China in the semifinal and dropped her bout 6-1. She later lost the bronze medal bout 4-0 to Iryna KURACHIKINA of Belarus. The Poland champion is employed by the Polish Army.
