High Performance Training Centres

United World Wrestling operates several High-Performance training centres around the world. These centres provide training for athletes year-round and have the task of developing international wrestling talent to its full potential. In our main centres, we welcome athletes supported by Olympic Solidarity and other key Strategic Partners. 

A number of centres are affiliated with United World Wrestling for training:

The National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance, more commonly known as INSEP, is a large French establishment. Created in 1975 under the name of National Institute of Sport and Physical Education, it is the heir to older institutions.
As one of the world’s foremost Olympic training centres, INSEP not only has the state-of-the-art training facility, but also provides technical and scientific expertise with a genuine respect for the athletes. INSEP is the ideal training centre for elite athletes in view of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The main objective of the Kozma Istvan Hungarian Wrestling Academy is to educate successful athletes at Olympic, world and European championships, who will be able to achieve a successful career in civilian life after completing their sporting careers.

The National Olympic Sports Center complex offers state of the art facilities and high performance wrestling training, and coaches and referees education programs.

 

The American Wrestling Centre UWWA in Guatemala City was created not only for the High-Performance training of the elite athletes but also for the development and promotion of Wrestling in the American continent.

Federal training center for wrestling in the sports community of Wals-Siezenheim. At the Austrian National Wrestling Center, wrestlers train with international training partners at the highest level. We offer a diverse network of first-class athletes who challenge and support each other to continuously improve their level.

The Izabekov Wrestling Academy, founded in 2016 by Mr. Chynarbek Izabekov — silver medallist of the 1988 World Youth Championship and five-time Veteran World Champion — is one of the leading national training centers in Kyrgyzstan.
The Academy serves as the home base for the Kyrgyz Republic National Olympic Wrestling Team and provides modern facilities that meet international training standards. More than 500 athletes train here across all age groups, reflecting the Academy’s strong contribution to the development of wrestling in the country.
The complex includes fully equipped wrestling halls, a strength and conditioning area, a rehabilitation centre operated by certified medical staff, and an athletes’ restaurant offering performance-oriented nutrition.
With experienced coaches and a history of producing World and Asian Championship medallists, the Izabekov Wrestling Academy is open to hosting international training camps and cooperation programs within the UWW community.

  

 

The Inspire Institute of Sport is a cutting-edge environment founded to craft champions in India with an eye on success at the Olympic Games. Located in Vijayanagar, Karnataka, the IIS has been stitched together with state-of-the-art facilities and sports science, and has some of the finest coaching minds from across the world to guide the athletes towards their Olympic dreams.

Diana Wrestling and Educational Center, Sofia

The Diana Wrestling Sports Center is located 15 minutes from the center of Sofia and 15 minutes from Vitosha Mountain.
The Wrestling Center has 6 + 6 mats located in two training halls (1100 m² and 500 m²), a modern fitness center, sauna, medical and massage rooms, coaching rooms, and service rooms. The Center also has a conference room with a capacity of 30 people. Numerous specialized seminars and training courses on Wrestling have been organized.
Until 2019, the Center also functioned as the European Center of the United World Wrestling (UWW).
A 3-minute walk away is the Diana 3 Hotel, which has 55 double rooms, 23 single rooms, and 2 apartments. It has a parking, a conference room for 50-60 people, and a restaurant offering healthy food for athletes.
This is the perfect place for training wrestlers from all continents.
Over the years, World, Continental, and Olympic champions and medalists from many countries have trained at the Diana Wrestling Sports Center.
