About Marianna

From Beijing to Tokyo, Marianna SASTIN (HUN) will be wrestling at her fourth Olympic Games. Born in Mosonmagyarovar, Hungary, Sastin is a world champion and a two-time silver medalist. In Beijing, she finished 15th after losing in 1/8 finals. Four years later, she again lost at the same stage of the London Games. Sastin could not clear the qualification round in Rio. At the 2019 World Championships, she reached the semifinals at 62kg, qualifying her for the Tokyo Games. She lost to Taybe YUSEIN of Bulgaria. In the bronze medal bout, she lost 4-1 to Henna JOHANSSON of Sweden. Sastin is married to Woller Akkos, a wrestling coach, and has a son.
