Training and Education

UWW is committed to providing accessible educational services related to wrestling. Through collaboration with the Olympic Solidarity, accredited institutions, relevant commissions, pedagogical experts, and renowned wrestling figures, UWW has developed practical development pathways for developing countries, with a focus on coaches, referees, administrators, and athletes. The organization aims to encourage the ongoing education of individuals and organizations, fostering a continuous improvement to advancing the sport of wrestling.

Educational Courses

In collaboration with Olympic Solidarity, UWW regularly conducts Technical Courses for Coaches (levels 1–4) and National Referee Development Courses. These courses, facilitated by UWW Certified Educators, are arranged upon the request of National Federations through their respective National Olympic Committees. This collaborative effort aims to enhance the expertise of coaches and referees, contributing to the overall development of wrestling at both national and international levels.

Training Camps

UWW Training Camps for athletes are typically organized in conjunction with championships or hosted at UWW-affiliated training centers. These camps offer valuable chances for athletes to improve their technical skills and engage in tailored training routines. Whether gearing up for acclimatization before Olympic Qualifiers or participating in our award-wining More than Medals youth camp, these initiatives aim to support athletes' overall growth and development.
The strategic partnerships with affiliated training centers offer year-around training opportunities and ensure a high-quality training environment conducive to optimal athletic development.

UWW Academy

The UWW Wrestling Academy https://academy.uww.org/ is a learning hub that aims to offer to all our National Member Federations a platform to develop and educate coaches, referees, administrators and athletes.
This platform brings together online courses, live and replay webinars and a library with articles, publications, videos and websites of reference.
